A tasty new left-sided option opens up for Chelsea if they can spend this summer

It was announced yesterday, finally, that Chelsea are taking their appeal over their transfer ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, according to the BBC.

After having resigned ourselves to not buying anyone for two windows, a frozen ban suddenly seems on the table, and transfer are back in the gossip pages for us this summer.

One other piece of news that came out late yesterday evening from Sky Sports was that young Ryan Sessegnon would not be renewing his contract there following their relegation.

Ryan Sessegnon has told Fulham he will not be signing a new contract offered to him by the club and looks set to leave ths summer, Sky Sports News understands.

This really puts the pressure on the Whites to sell him this summer, before his value starts to fall.

If we do freeze our ban, he should be top of the list. Young, homegrown, talented and not at his peak value after an off season with a struggling Fulham team, he’s a prime “buy low” candidate at this point.

We have no idea how much Fulham would ask, and how many other clubs we would be competing with, but with the Hazard money in our back pocket, we can surely go all out for a player with this much potential.
