With the Europa League coming up on Thursday against Frankfurt, Arsenal have been dealt with a blow with Arsenal star is Ruled Out ahead of Europa League clash.
Alexandre Lacazette ruled out for a month due to an ankle injury.
It was announced on the Gunners official website claiming that the 28-year-old striker have had the injury and has been playing with it for some weeks now but will be on the sidelines to rest his ankle and return to full fitness. And apparently, October has been scheduled for his return.
The official statement on the Gunners website wrote via SkySports: “After assessments to an ongoing ankle issue, we have advised that Alex will need to rest and strengthen his ankle to regain full fitness.
“Alex has been playing through this injury for several weeks. He is likely to be back in action in October.”
Lacazette has been in quite an impressive form for the club this season, as he was instrumental in their North London derby 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur scoring a goal before the break to inspire a comeback draw having been two goals down and Aubameyang was able to equalize in 71st minute.
The France international so far this season, have been able to find the back of the net twice in three games for the Unai Emery side.
Lacazette was not available for pick in their trip to Vicarage Road last weekend, which ended in a 2-2 draw. He will also be highly expected to miss the trip to Germany for the Europa League opener against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday and Premier League matches against Aston Villa and Manchester United, and the Carabao Cup match against Championship club Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium.
