Arsenal have been dealt an injury blow with the news that Joe Willock has been forced to miss out on a place in England’s U21 squad.
The Athetlic’s Steve Madeley has reported that the player has been forced to sit out of the upcoming Euro 2021 qualifiers for the U21s.
Grady Diangana and Eberechi Eze have both been called into the squad in Willock’s absence. After a fine start to the season – should Arsenal be feeling fortunate about the timing of the injury?

It’s a blow to see Willock ruled out of England’s U21s squad, but this could be a wise move from Arsenal’s point of view.
It has been reported by James Benge of the football.london that the injury is nothing serious and while there’s never a good time for an injury to happen, the Gunners will be thankful that Willock has the international period to recover.
Willock has been in great form since the start of the season for Arsenal and he will be missed in midfield.
However, this could be the moment that forces Unai Emery to switch up his midfield set-up.
Without Willock, the Gunners are lacking energy alongside the likes of Granit Xhaka, something that puts even more onus on bringing in Dani Ceballos, someone supporters have been calling to feature more reguarly.
