Report: Coutinho, Bale and Asensio wanted but Chelsea legend Drogba opens up on who will replace Hazard

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has claimed that the Blues will have a hard time coping without star man Eden Hazard next season.

The playmaker has said it is his ‘dream’ to play under Zinedine Zidane and has been eyeing up a summer move ever since last season, when he was tipped to leave the club until Maurizio Sarri convinced him to stay for one more season.

It is believed that the Chelsea hierarchy came to an agreement with Hazard that he could leave for Madrid this summer, if he stuck around and helped Sarri get back into the Champions League, which he more than done with his 28-goals for the Blues.

And after months of speculation and frustration for many fans, Hazard finally completed his move to the Bernabeu earlier this month, and the Belgian has admitted that he now wants to create history with the Spanish giants.

And that has led to a lot of transfer speculation about whom could be brought in as the Belgian’s replacement, with Philippe Coutinho, Gareth Bale and even Asensio all linked with a move

But Drogba believes the Blues will have a hard time coping after the Belgium international’s exit.

“No one can replace Hazard, he is special,” Drogba said during an Instagram live video on his account on Saturday.

“But someone else will come, [and] step up.

“Eden Hazard is a legend at Chelsea. That’s life, that’s football.”

Hazard is the biggest player at Chelsea and one man that many fans did not want to see leave the club this summer, but when a player wants to leave, it is bet to let them depart the club

Chelsea will be a more complete team next season now that Hazard has left the club as they became a bit of a one man show, but they have some very exciting talent that will need to step up.

And although many Chelsea fans will wish him the best, they will be hoping that he has a tough time of it at Madrid, just like Thibaut Courtois, who has struggled since him move to Madrid.
Chelsea may not be able to replace Hazard, but there is surely enough talent at the club to cope without the man.

The Blues will have the likes of Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham and the talented Callum Hudson-Odoi all prepared to step up, so there should be goals in the Blues side.
